Man Utd line up £35m bid for Ribery

MANCHESTER UNITED are set to launch a £35million bid for Franck Ribery. But the Premier League champions will wait two weeks so the Contract of Ribery ends, after which he is expected to request a transfer.Bayern have rejected interest from Real Madrid because of their arrogance and lack of respect.

Ribery has indicated he would be willing to move to Old Trafford and wants to quit Germany.United believe Ribery, 26, is prepared to force the issue but would not do so until the end of Contract.Bayern are understood to be more willing to negotiate with United but are likely to demand nearer £50m.

United boss Alex Ferguson sees Ribery as Cristiano Ronaldo's replacement as he said yesterday that "We need to score 100 goals this season to secure the league and Europe championship.Cristiano Ronaldo scored near 100 goals in last three season and Sir Alex Ferguson really wants to fill his Boots.Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti also revealed his admiration for the Frenchman.
